The successful candidate will join JSB’s team of senior consultants – contributing strategically and operationally to the development of the business, its products, services and clients. This role also provides the opportunity for promotion to Associate Director in the medium term, and the potential to participate in the growth of the business as a partner and leader. The position involves taking a leading role in enhancing JSB’s client development, communications and management practice, working alongside JSB’s specialist directors in these areas, JSB’s Associates and support teams across the business. The nature of the role means that you will need to demonstrate a high level of flexibility, a client-focused and consultative working style and the ability to manage workload and priorities. Reporting to: Line reporting to Principal Directors, with matrix responsibility to the Directors, Learning and Development. Key responsibilities - Learning delivery, coaching and consultancy
- Design and delivery of in-company programmes across the spectrum of client development and management skills and knowledge, key account management, business development, corporate communications and related areas of learning
- Design and development of in-company consultancy interventions
- One-to-one coaching
- Design and delivery of existing and new open programmes
- Client Management
- Taking responsibility for managing new and existing clients
- Maintaining new and existing client relationships and developing new opportunities
- Attending meetings, writing proposals, preparing for pitches
- Working alongside Associates in developing business with existing clients
- Facilitating internal meetings with Associates to design and develop programmes
- Working alongside directors on major projects
- Working with internal teams to ensure smooth running of projects
- Maintaining database and client files
- Product and service development
- Review of existing open and in-company programmes to ensure and demonstrate current relevance and best practice
- Management and development of Associates within management development practice group
- Design and development of documentation and exercises
- Working alongside JSB departments in developing business and marketing materials, as necessary
Job Specification The successful candidate will need to show the following: - Experience and training
- Substantial experience in a management or marketing communications role in a reputable organisation or firm
- Several years’ experience as consultant or trainer, particularly in client development and management skills and knowledge, business development and key account management, corporate communications and related areas of learning
- Highly developed skills in designing and delivering learning interventions
- Training/learning in development of personal consulting/training/organisational development expertise
- Client relationship management accountability
- Clear understanding of why and how people and organisations learn
