Biography
Karen McGill is a Partner in the MacRoberts Employment Law Group and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Employment Law. She deals with all aspects of employment law both contentious and non-contentious and has specialised in this field since qualifying.
Karen represents clients before employment tribunals throughout Scotland and before the Employment Appeal Tribunal. She has significant experience of dealing with high profile discrimination cases.
Karen advises on a broad range of employment law issues including the drafting and revisal of employment contracts, handbooks and policy documentation; the handling of dismissals; the drafting of compromise agreements; transfers of undertakings; redundancy; the enforcement of restrictive covenants; sex discrimination; race discrimination, disability discrimination and equal pay. She provides advice by telephone to clients as situations arise.
Karen is a regular speaker at employment law conferences and contributes articles on current employment law issues to newspapers and journals. She also prepares and delivers training for clients on employment law topics.
