Michael S. Lee is a senior associate in the Corporate Department, specializing in the Labor and Employment and Privacy and Data Protection Practice Groups. While at Kim & Chang, Mr. Lee has advised numerous multinational corporations on a wide range of cross-border transactions, including share and asset purchases and joint ventures and specific employment related issues in this context, such as post-merger integration, restructuring, compliance and labor relations issues.
He has also been actively advising clients on the data protection and privacy regime and requirements in Korea, and has represented various multinational telecommunications and Internet companies, as well as offline corporations, in their operations and transactions in Korea, including data storage, transfer and security issues and requirements.

Mr. Lee is a regular speaker at the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea for various labor and employment and privacy and data protection related issues. Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Lee clerked for the Honorable Delissa A. Ridgway at the U.S. Court of International Trade and was an associate at a U.S. law firm.
