Advanced Certificate in Employment Law (ACEL)

Personal Tutor Support

To help students with successful completion of the Advanced Certificate and make
the most of their studies, our Employment Law Faculty provides each student
with unlimited access to his/her own personal tutor.

Personal tutors on the Advanced Certificate are recruited on the basis of a rigorous selection interview. This is followed by a training process that adheres to the high standards of the programme.

All tutors are experienced employment law specialists with expertise in a variety of fields of employment law theory and practice. Most are experienced in management and in their professional lives have dealt - from a legal perspective - with many of the practical situations likely to be encountered by ACEL students.

Every student has his/her own personal tutor who provides support throughout their studies. Tutors offer feedback on course work, advise on issues arising during the course, assist with the submission and agreement of the student’s assignment topic, and are generally available to offer guidance and support. ACEL offers students the facility to sit a mock examination at a revision day and tutors help students to prepare for this so that when they attempt the final examination, they do so with confidence. Contact is maintained by email, telephone and fax, enabling tutors to provide practical assistance at every stage of the Advanced Certificate.
