Issue

Our client wished to develop managers` understanding of the key aspects of engagement and how that related to managers and their teams. Participants needed to develop talent management skills as well as an understanding of the benefits of managing within a coaching culture. There was also a requirement for participants to gain access to key skills for facilitating high performance and to ensure that their own communication style and approach met the demands of our client’s challenging environment. 

Our approach

The programme was intensely interactive and challenging with participants individually and collectively exploring their own management style.  This was achieved through a series of tailored exercises, case studies and `live play` which allowed participants to provide - and learn from - peer feedback.  Throughout the training participants identified how best to apply new skills and learning directly to their roles.

The outcome

Managers have improved performance management and coaching skills.  They have enhanced their ability to communicate with their colleagues and teams and are better able to manage and retain talent.
