Issue
We were asked to design and deliver regular employment law update sessions for our client - a global force in household, health and personal care solutions. These one-day sessions were to enable HR Managers, Directors and Associates to keep abreast of how new employment legislation and latest case law impact upon their organisational policies and procedures.
Our approach
Our trainer engages participants by creating an interactive environment whereby there is continual discussion of practical, relevant cases. The programme covers all recent and forthcoming employment legislation - from employment contracts and TUPE regulations to the latest on discrimination and tribunal procedures. The opportunity for questions is maximised and participants comment on how our knowledgeable trainer gives practical examples when answering each question and highlighting theory. Emphasis is on practical handling and avoidance of litigation, in line with staff policies and procedures.
The outcome
Participants leave with a comprehensive understanding of new employment legislation relevant to their day-to-day responsibilities. They return to the workplace confident that, after in-depth discussions of latest case law, they are well equipped to avoid potential legal pitfalls. The client has recommended this training also be adapted and delivered to line managers within the organisation.
