Facilitation

Where clients require support in steering group discussions, meetings and change processes, or where external, objective chairing will help to induce a more positive, productive or creative environment, we work as facilitators. Often, this means working alongside internal partners and liaising carefully with senior managers throughout the facilitation process.

Team-building and Away-days

Working with teams at all levels, we design and run team development sessions, board and management away-days - off-site and on-site - with a mix of business related activity, personal development and outward bound activity appropriate to the event and organisational objectives.

Your perfect team

A great team is a construct, not an accident. In every organisation, the challenge is different. You may want to:

  • Enhance and build existing high performance
  • Create fresh and innovative solutions to the problems you face
  • Ensure your people are active and willing contributors to change
  • Refresh, re-focus and re-invigorate your team
  • Solve problems and resolve people and process issues
  • Maximise performance by integrating your individuals and teams

This is your event. To maximise the return on the investment you make we will work with you to define exactly what you want to achieve. The agenda and approach will be yours.

In working with a broad range of clients from many sectors, we have gained a wealth of experience and expertise. We can:

  • Focus the hearts and minds of your people on achieving tangible benefits
  • Bring the voice of your clients and customers to the room through pre-workshop surveys and research
  • Apply psychometric tools to develop team and self-awareness
  • Help team members understand more about each other through challenging physical and mental activities
  • Agree a mix of activities with you - role plays, problem solving, team and individual challenges
  • Facilitate and interrogate to engender enhanced team interaction and compatibility
  • Your people are your greatest asset - invest in them wisely and reap the rewards.

Take a team of your people out of the workplace and you
make a substantial investment.

JSB can help maximise your return on that investment by helping you to:

  • Define the value you want to deliver, the outcomes you want to achieve
  • Engage, motivate and energise people for the duration of the event
  • Implement and integrate actions and ideas generated on the day

The process works like this:

Define the need. You brief us on the opportunity this event will help seize, the problem it will help you solve, the challenge it will help you meet. We learn from you about the culture of the organisation and the profile of the people who will attend.

Create the solution. When we know the context, goals and business drivers for the UK or overseas events, we develop a solution - one that meets your needs, fits your culture and delivers value to your business. Every event is different. We use a creative combination of plenary and breakout sessions, brainstorms, team and individual activities, role plays, guest speakers, professional actors, problem solving, creative thinking techniques and planning tools.

Facilitate the event. On the day we work with your people to create a stimulating, challenging, enjoyable day. One that directly addresses your issues, concerns and challenges. Every event ends with a session on action planning - your opportunity to ensure that follow-through is detailed, rigorous and determined.

Make a difference. We support you in implanting your action plans and in ensuring the event makes a tangible and beneficial difference to your business.

Three simple principles underpin our approach:

Relevance - activities that focus directly on your business needs

Respect - mobilising the intelligence, experience and energy of your people

Return - a determination to maximise the return of the investment you make
