Strategic Recruitment - new seminar date announced!
News item added 12th September 2007

You know that finding - and keeping - good people is becoming increasingly difficult in today’s employment climate. To ensure that you attract, and retain, the top talent available, your recruitment process must be strategic and linked to your business objectives.

A recent survey conducted by the Corporate Executive Board found that ‘87% of HR executives were unhappy about the strategic impact their functions made on the company, including the ineffective management of their human capital assets’ (Personnel Today, 24 August 2007). HR must ensure that recruitment and succession planning activities are linked to business strategy in order to have the desired strategic influence.

Due to popular demand we have scheduled another 2007 date for JSB’s Strategic Recruitment seminar, where you will develop the skills to streamline your recruitment strategy throughout your organisation and combat the challenges of managing your talent within the law – and in support of your diversity aims and aspirations.

Seminar highlights:

  • Articulate your recruitment strategy and link it to your business objectives
  • Connect your recruitment strategy to your organisational values and your brand
  • Align your recruitment strategy with legal requirements:
  • Agency staff and temporary workers: what are the considerations?
  • Build flexibility into remuneration and pay reviews
  • Avoid discrimination
  • Know what questions you can and can’t ask during the recruitment process
  • Examine the merits of online recruitment and the use of psychometrics: with a case study from Paula Jordon, Associate Director of HR at Portman Building Society
