Boost for HR Business Partnering
News item added 7th June 2007

Aspiring HR business partners, as well as HR directors and senior managers implementing a business partnering approach can benefit from a new JSB/Credos seminar in London next month.  Led by leading HR Strategy Faculty Member, Angela Qureshi, “The HR Business Partner – Winning ways to become successful as an HR business partner,” addresses the key factors enabling HR professionals to play the significant role they are seeking in their organisations.

As HR moves away from being an operational function to becoming a strategic business partner, many HR professionals have to change the way they work”, says seminar leader and former Middlesex University HR Head, Qureshi.  “Business partnering has major implications for senior managers and directors in our profession – in terms of roles, skills and competencies but recent research shows that many potential HR leaders are struggling to get to grips with the business partnering concept in practice.”

This new seminar which takes place in Central London on 25 July, will include key elements of the subject in an interactive workshop format, enabling participants to gain the skills and knowledge they need to fulfill the business partner role.  Sessions include:

  • Getting HR into the heart of the business
  • Approaches to assess priorities as a business partner
  • Key techniques for building business partnering relationships
  • Building credibility and influencing key business decisions
  • Measuring the HR business partner’s contribution
