Preparing for Silk (QC)
Preparing for Silk (QC)
JSB's skilled and experienced consultants have helped a large number of applicants applying for ‘Silk’ under the new arrangements in the appointment of QCs. Assistance is provided in connection with both the application form and with preparation for subsequent panel interview. Help is provided on a "One-to-one" basis and also in group sessions "In-Chambers". Our training has been developed in association with the Bar Council.
One-to-one sessions
"One-to-one sessions" take place at a time and place to suit applicants/prospective applicants. Confidentiality is maintained at all times. These sessions are closely tailored to individual requirements, depending upon what stage each individual has reached. The emphasis may be on the self-assessment application process, preparation for interview or a mixture of the two.
In-Chambers sessions
These are usually arranged through Heads of Chambers, Chambers Directors or Senior Clerks. "In-Chambers" sessions typically last three hours and are conducted for small groups of applicants, prospective applicants and clerks, in chambers anywhere in the country.
