Paul Secher
Paul Secher is Managing Director of JSB Training and Development and Head of JSB's Employment Law Faculty. He has many years' experience of designing and developing employment law courses, including the Advanced Certificate in Employment Law (ACEL), a Master's level CIPD accredited qualification and the leading qualification in employment law for personnel professionals.
Michael Bradshaw, Partner, Charles Russell
Michael Bradshaw is a partner in the Employment and Pensions Service Group of City firm, Charles Russell LLP. Michael provides advice to businesses on the full range of employment matters, including managing dismissals, Employment Tribunal claims, reorganisations and redundancies, TUPE transfers and data protection. He advises a range of clients on these issues and his clients in this area include national and international employment agencies. He regularly provides client training and speaks at a number of conferences and seminars. Michael is a regular contributor to the HR and personnel press.
Audrey Williams, Partner, Human Resources Group, Head of Discrimination Law, Eversheds
Audrey specialises in all aspects of employment law, particularly race, disability and sex discrimination, unfair and wrongful dismissal, equal opportunities, grievance procedures, counselling, maternity and harassment policies and training for establishing such policies. Audrey has given evidence to the Equal Opportunities Commission's Equal Pay Taskforce. She also has particular expertise in dealing with investigations and fraud issues in both the financial services and retail sectors and for delivering training to clients in the retail sector around performance management and dignity at work.
Jonathan Hearn, Legal Director, DLA Piper
Jonathan Hearn is a senior member of the London employment team of international law firm DLA Piper. He acts for employers and senior employees in all aspects of employment law, contentious and non-contentious. Jonathan advises and supports the HR teams of numerous employers, dealing with the variety of employment law issues that arise day-to-day. Jonathan advises on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, particularly first and second-generation outsourcing and business sales/purchases. Such advice centres on the application of the Transfer of Undertakings regulations, contract variation, redundancy programmes and employee consultation. His contentious work entails defending Employment Tribunal claims against employers, advising on litigation strategy, dealing with industrial relations issues, and dispute resolution. Jonathan is one of DLA Piper's principal employment law trainers. He develops and delivers numerous in-house training programmes for employers.
Russell Turner, Operations Manager, Occupational Health, Marks and Spencer
Russell Turner is Operations Manager for Occupational Health at Marks and Spencer. Over the past decade Russell has worked in a number of different roles including European OH Manager at Heinz and UK OH Manager at O2. Russell joined M&S in 2007 and has responsibilities ranging from developing M&S Wellbeing strategy, Attendance Management and Business Continuity responsibilities to managing the M&S Occupational Health Team. He is also a CBI Health and Safety Committee Member and represents the CBI as their representative on the Health and Safety Executive Industrial Asthma Working Party.
Mark Mansell, Partner, Allen and Overy
Is a partner in the Employment & Benefits department at Allen & Overy specialising in employment law. Mark's experience includes both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. His expertise includes advising on the transfer and takeover of businesses, directors service agreements, employment policies, dismissals, redundancies and discrimination. He also has experience in transactional work including mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing and employment aspects of major restructures. He has extensive experience on multi-jurisdictional employment matters.
Will Winch, Solicitor, Mishcon de Reya
Will Winch specialises in both contentious and non contentious employment law. He acts for both employers and employees. He has acted for (amongst others) media organisations, senior executives in the finance industry, financial organisations and property portfolio specialists. Will has experience in drafting and negotiating service agreements and compromise agreements, and in issues involving whistleblowing, discrimination, and wrongful and unfair dismissal. He also advises on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Paul Callaghan, Partner, Taylor Wessing
Paul's practice involves him acting for and providing advice to employers in relation to all aspects of employment and labour law, particularly in relation to the technology, media and financial services sectors. He acts for a wide client base including both UK and many US companies. He is an active member of the American Bar Association and the American Employment Law Council, a body of management-sided employment lawyers. Paul also acts for senior executives, particularly those working in financial services, the media or technology companies.
