Kevin Green, Chief Executive, Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)

Kevin Green is the Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). He previously worked for Royal Mail as its Chief Learning Officer and then HR Director for Royal Mail Letters. Before joining Royal Mail, Kevin was Managing Director of Qtab – a successful HR consultancy.

Nick Hurley, Partner, Charles Russell

Nick is a Partner at Charles Russell LLP. Nick has broad experience both in the Employment Tribunals and in the High and County Courts. Nick’s non-contentious experience covers a wide spectrum of work ranging from drafting employment agreements and policies to advising on employment law issues relating to the sale and purchase of businesses and outsourcing. Nick has a strong corporate focus to his work and acts for a number of clients within the Financial Services, Energy and Insurance sector and is actively involved in the City HR Association (including currently sitting on the Training and Events Sub-committee of the City HR Association).

Michael Bradshaw, Partner, Charles Russell

Michael Bradshaw is a partner in the Employment and Pensions Service Group of City firm, Charles Russell LLP. He regularly provides client training on employment matters and is an experienced conference speaker on the subject. Michael otherwise provides advice to businesses on the full range of employment matters, including managing dismissals, Employment Tribunal claims, reorganisations and redundancies, and TUPE transfers. He has acted in one of the leading cases on agency workers, Muscat v Cable & Wireless and regularly advises clients on the matters relating to agency workers.

Steve Lewitt, Director Human Resources, Mobility UK Division, Siemens

Steve Lewitt is the Director of Human Resources in the UK mobility Division of Siemens. He was educated at the Universities of Oxford and Leicester and since then has worked in a variety of HR roles for, amongst others, the NHS, BT plc, AIG, and Alstom along with two stints in the public sector.

Sarah Veale, Head, Equality and Employment Rights Department, Trade Union Congress (TUC)

Sarah Veale is Head of the Equality and Employment Rights Department at the TUC. Before becoming Head of Equality and Employment Rights, Sarah was Senior Employment Rights Officer. She regularly briefs senior union officers on developments in employment and equality law. She is co-author of “Your Rights at Work”, the TUC’s book on employment rights.Sarah is a member of the ACAS Council, the Government’s Risk and Regulation Advisory Council, the Women’s National Commission and the Employment Tribunals System Steering Board. She was awarded the CBE for services to diversity in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June 2006.

Andy Smith, Head of Regulatory and Public Affairs Adecco,

Andy is Head of Regulatory and Public Affairs for Adecco Group UK and Ireland. He is responsible for coordinating the Adecco Groups response to legislative developments, a key current focus being the UKs implementation of the Agency Workers Directive. Andy has been employed by the Adecco Group for 20 years and has held various positions within the Groups HR and legal functions. He is a chartered member of the CIPD and has an LL.M (with distinction) in employment law from Middlesex University.

Debbie Dady, Head of Temporary Agency Workers, Metropolitan Police Service

Debbie Dady is Head of Temporary Agency Workers for the Metropolitan Police Service, based in London. Debbie has had two previous roles during her nine year career with the Met, that of Head of Marketing and Advertising and Head of Recruitment. Prior to relocating from Birmingham to join the Met, Debbie completed her Masters and enjoyed a varied career in both the public and private sector within HR.
