Our People

Isabel Manley

Isabel Manley BA LLM is an experienced JSB trainer/consultant specialising in employment law. She qualified as a solicitor in 1985 with most of her employment and discrimination practice in the voluntary sector, advising and representing applicants. She has made numerous appearances in employment tribunals and in the County Court and Employment Appeal Tribunal. She now sits part time as an Employment Judge.

Isabel is involved in both teaching and writing. She edited and contributed to Advising Clients with HIV and Aids (Butterworths 2000) and is one of the authors of Blackstone’s Guide to the Employment Relations Act 1999. She is co-author of the recent Employment Tribunals – A Practical Guide, published by the Law Society.

Isabel is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cape Town. She is a member of the management committee of Islington Law Centre and Treasurer of the Industrial Law Society.
