Sylvie Cousin, Lawyer, Eversheds

Sylvie joined Eversheds in August 2006 and has specialised in Employment Law inside the HRPG group of Eversheds in Brussels. Her practice covers employment law matters and some aspects of human resources management. She is mainly experienced in collective employment law, advice on employment matters and in coordinating HR pan-European projects. Her recent experience includes the coordination of international restructuring processes and advice and assistance in mergers and acquisitions, harmonisation of working conditions, transfer of undertakings and collective dismissals. Sylvie obtained her law degree at the University of Louvain-la-neuve in 2002. During her studies, she spent 4 months at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands. Having obtained her degree in law, she completed her education with a masters in Employment and Company Law at the University of Ghent. During this year, she worked for a local law firm in Antwerp. She was admitted to the French Brussels bar in September 2003 and worked for Baker and McKenzie in Brussels for three years as an employment and litigation lawyer.
